If food is going to be served outdoors, it is a good idea to have mesh screens to cover the top. These screens can keep flies away. Food that is covered will remain appealing to guests for longer because they know little icky legs haven’t touched it. Drinks and beverages are also best kept covered because wasps are known to climb right into a sweet drink!
